Pipers Page

Piper was a "strapping" lad when we bought him from Jeff Goodall from Iowa..I went through to pick him up (and made a deal for Pippin too)and he was a real gentleman right from the start...

However...Times come when you have to say "enough is enough" and we had no real need for a Clydesdale stallion...However nice and calm he was....

So.... we sadly listed Piper up for sale "to a good home only" on the AG-Direct website..

After a couple of rejected enquiries about him.. we were contacted by a nice lady by the name of Johanna Russell.

She has Clydesdales already and he has had the neat idea of taking them for visits.....

No....Not farms and stables and the usual places you would expect these giants...But schools and old folks homes....For no more reason but to brighten up their days at various homes and such like....Both horses and people have a nice day meeting up and petting noses and indeed having noses petted..

Kids have nothing to fear from these gentle horses as you can see..here is Piper meeting a little one at one of his outings..

However.....

He does think that Bird Feeders have all sorts of nibbles in them...And they are JUST for him....

But he IS an easy boy to forgive...It was an Honest mistake......

Now it comes to pass that Piper has a Girlfriend at home.....

and this Spring along came this little guy...

Pipers first foal on the ground

Brand new here as you can see...

A beautiful new colt in the world and Piper has a nice home and a great "job".

All this page shows is that it's not the end when you sell a horse but you do have to make sure it is really wanted and for the right reasons..Johanna was SO happy to see Piper when I delivered him to her and you could see she was THRILLED to get such a nice boy..

She keeps in touch and sends is pictures and reports of his prgress (as you can see).

If only ALL the horses on Ag-Direct could have this happy an ending it would be a better world..

If you do sell your horse..Please try and look into the details of the place you are selling it to.Don't just close your eyes when they go..Try and keep them happy..

....just like our Piper is...
